Love this tea cozy that my mother-in-law gave me. Aren't those hand embroidered fraise so beautiful? Her mother made it and I treasure it. Keeps my tea warm and cozy most every morning. What are your favorite heirlooms?

A watch with a southwestern design on it that was my Fathers'. I was at the store w/him in Arizona when he bought it. I can picture him wearing it right now.
Also, I received my Grandmothers' pearl necklace. They are as lovely as she was.
Two extremely sentimental items, knowing full well how much they meant my Dad and Grandmother.
How special those items are and how special you must be for them to be in your care :^)
Sad to lose those we love but I find comfort in the things they left behind. I cherish photographs the most.
Wish you cold come by, we could have tea by my purple flowers.
Have a beautiful day!
I have two hand embroidered hankerchiefs that were my materal grandmother's favorites, because they belonged to her mother, my great-grand!
And a beautiful pitcher and bowl from my paternal grandparents; it was their favorite.
Beautiful tea cosy.
The tea cozy has such beautiful details, your mother in law's mother must have been very talented.
I inherited so many things from my grandmother that it's hard to pick a favorite, but I would have to go with my Hall mixing bowls. Cookies just seem to taste better when I use one for mixing the dough.
What a beautiful present! I love getting things from my family that are old and have history, I have so many in my house I could never just pick one. I think I love all of the artwork my Grandmother did way back when, I feel lucky to have some of her work and be able to look at it everyday.
I have a cutting board from my mother-in-law that has been well loved. I love knowing that it has been used. Also an old belt strap that was used to carry books, was my Grandfathers- long before backpacks.
The history of these items makes me happy.
That is a really good question. I am surrounded by almost everything so I end up taking it for granted.
I think I am going to bring back belt straps. They were Laura Ingalls cool!
