I love rocks, rock walls, rock pathways, Rocky (the movie) One and maybe Two. I really love heart shaped rocks.
When I first started dating my husband, I would find hundreds of heart shaped rocks in his gravel driveway, little ones, but definitely shaped like Love. I took it as a sign from my mother, a sign that this was a solid relationship. She was right.

When I mentioned my finds to my intellectual friend, all giddy one day after finding a particularly nice one, she said....it's not that you are finding heart shaped rocks...it's that you are seeing heart shaped rocks..just pebbles to others that walk by. Hmm. Profound.
Well I have been collecting them, here in now OUR driveway and our travels. What do you see that others don't? Anything special that you collect on your adventures at home and around the globe?
The first photo I found on this blog, the second photo are of some rocks I found in Wadi Rum, Jordan; my house in Vermont; Nantucket and here in CT. The last photo was sent to me by my friend Marcia, I assume hers are from Maine. I'd love to see yours if you have any! Rock on!

I collect coins if I find them on the ground, especially pennies. I feel they are a sign from my Father. He always use to say "pennies add up to dollars"
I was so excited when I saw your pictures of heart shaped rocks because I have a really big one in the backyard! I'll have to post a pic of it on my blog.
Collections? As you probably already know, I'm crazy for candleholders and buy them everywhere I go. I'm a little shell crazy, too. I've brought back many from our vacations to the beach in North Carolina.
Heart of stone. I'm trying very hard not to psychoanalyze :)
Kidding!

I also love rocks, and have collected them from almost every place I have every visited. Your story is so cool. I have never notices heart shaped rocks. Maybe I'm not looking out for them.
Shells - I collect shells. I do love those rocks, the way they are organised, too pretty.
Good morning Abby :)
I had one that my daughter gave me a while back, but it was lost in the move. I wish I could find it again. You have me keeping my eye out for more now though :)
