Walk Me Out In The Morning Light, My Honey....

.....alright so the song is 'morning dew' but when I took my daily garden walk the morning light was especially lovely. Love how it illuminates the lantern and the blue fescue grass.
Look at that kale!

Mornin' Morning Glory!
The chartreuse leaves of the begonias are ultra bright in the morning light.
As are these glowing wand fronds by the clump birch.
Any other time of the day, aside from early evening, my white flowers seem to get all washed out when I photograph them,  but with just the early morning rays how lovely are these peony buds?

This weather, and light, makes me really look forward to morning....a hot cup of coffee, pajamas, barefeet and a cashmere sweater. Summertime is here!

Oh, Abby, as a fellow gardener and garden-photographer-maniac, I just love your post today! And, yes, the early morning light does bring out the best in plants. I'm with you on the whites - they drive me crazy when I'm trying to snap them!

What a fantastic way to start the day. Your photos are beautiful. I can feel the coolness of the ferns-love it.

I love the sunlight on the garden at dawn and at dusk. It seems to magically transform the colors of everything. I can never quite capture it in a picture, though.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I wish I could have you all over for lunch today, garden looking especially lush after we finally got some rain. Maybe we should plan a late summer garden party? Cheers!
