Don't Rake Those Leaves!

If you want to have a healthy lawn and garden, the best thing you can do is put down that rake (or God forbid leaf blower!!!) and have a cup of tea.

Want to know why?

I can't believe you said it..When we had our ONE AND ONLY rainstorm in October..I was so HAPPY because we had beautiful wet yellow leaves all over the old sidewalks here. So I am thinking to myself as I am taking a shower...Oh, I have to get right out there to get pictures. Buzzzzz.Whoooo... Huh? What's that?
OMG ! No. The woman next door was blowing with her blower all the leaves away....my heart sank. I thought...you know...don't people "get it". Guess not.. I'm sure she was on her way to the beach....

Agree! I've always thought the leaves were there for a reason.

This is so true, for the lawn's overall health.

I've never used a singal chemical on my lawn and it's very healthy, which I attribute to mulching the leaves in every fall. Sometimes the leaves are too dense and I've got to rake otherwise they'll create clumps when I mow them and kill the grass.
