I am very excited,
and very busy,
getting my ducks in a row to shoot a cookbook next week.
My go-to stacks you might say.
happy to sit with by the fire
and waste the day away.
Actually some of the chefs are old friends!
I am making my husband's favorite short ribs for dinner tonight,
it's customary that I make them for his b'day dinner.
Unfortunately just a day late this year due to a heavy work schedule.
The recipe hails from the Balthazar cookbook which is filled with beautiful recipes and pictures. These short ribs are world class and the cookbook makes a great gift for your favorite chef.
Bon Appetite!

I already have 500 cookbooks so, unless someone gives me one, I will buy no more. I don't even stop in a bookstore to look since I know my temptations. In recent years, I cook much less and now, with retirement, and my two remaining sons planning to move within the next few months, I myself will have to really downsize and move to a small apartment. Self discipline is a must. I am going through my old cookbooks and, those that I have never used and don't really adore, get sent to Goodwill. At 65,and on a fix income, entertaining doesn't happen as often as it used to, either.
I love cookbooks! I could sit and read them like a regular book - so much fun!
I'm a little bit of a cookbook junkie, myself. I have no idea how many I have, I've never counted them. My biggest weakness is for vintage cookbooks. I absolutely love them.
