Fifty People One Question :: Brooklyn, NY

Fifty People One Question :: Brooklyn, NY

click on above link and then ask yourself....

what would your answer be?

hALLOwEen CoOkiEs

I am reposting this from last year,
have not had much time to be crafty lately....

How about some ghoulish cookies?

I had some lady finger cookies left over from a shoot I did, so that part was easy. You could use store bought ladyfingers (from Italian markets used primarily for tiarmisu) or milano cookies, just dust them with powdered sugar.

Broke the 'teeth' off of the bottom of pieces of candy corn -nice gingivitis - and used the yellow tops for spooky jaundice eyes

Melt some semi-sweet chocolate and put it in a piping bag with a tiny tip.
You could also use a ziploc bag with a small corner of the bag snipped off.
Just be careful pouring the hot chocolate
(place bag in cup to stabilize it, cuff folded down)
Use the chocolate to wiggle out some smiles, eyeliner, noses.
Use it as a glue
to hold the candy corn pieces in place.

You could also decorate them as headstones, ghosts, coffins...and lay them out on a brownie graveyard!
Even one in a bowl of ice cream
would be cute too.

A+ Friends

From quiet homes and first beginnings

Out to the undiscovered ends

There's nothing worth the wear of

But laughter and the love of friends.

What a pleasure
to pass the time
with people you love.

friends who light your creative fire
those who give
around the world, inspire
to laugh as one
and never feel tired
your heart filled with song

like an angels' choir.

Those kindred spirits
Family and Found.

We laugh,
we hug,
 we dance around.

I am blessed.

Hope you are enjoying
those who make you smile.

as a real NYC pastry and savory chef
her recipes are as sweet as she is!
